We spent a lovely morning listening to an Elmer’s story.

Our language assistant prepared the story and other activities for us. We learnt a lot!

The Superlative

Six graders have invented some dialogues using the superlative. Withe the help of Sinead, our language assistant, they have filmed their dialogues.

NATURAL SCIENCE, 6th primary: Living Things

Last Wednesday and Thursday, 5th level used a microscope to observe onion cells during our science lesson. We could also compare a traditional microscope with a modern one which was connected to the smart board. 

We had a good time and discovered many things.

Experiment time !!!

Sixth graders had a science experiment. We wanted to find out how yeast carries out the process of nutrition. We used 3 empty bottles, some yeast, some warm water and some sugar. 

The process we followed was:

     First, we labeled the bottles (one with yeast and water, one with yeast and sugar and one with yeast, water and sugar.

    Then we filled in the three bottles.

     Next, we put a balloon on top of each bottle.

After waiting some time…. What happened? Which balloon had inflated the most? Why? How does yeast carry out the function of nutrition?

First we thought of a hypothesis

Then we tested our hypothesis

Halloween song

In October, Theatre at school!

Cinderella for 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels and Robin Hood for 4th, 5th and 6th levels.

First, we worked on the plays in the class and then we watched, played and enjoyed them.

Llengua oral en anglès

We are happy to announce that we have Sinead with us. She came from Manchester to help us with oral activities in English. She’ll be here from October to May and she’ll be working with all the groups.

Estem contents de fer-vos saber que aquest curs tenim la Sinead amb nosaltres. Aquesta noia ha vingut de Manchester per ajudar-nos amb les activitats de llengua oral en anglès i estarà amb nosaltres d’octubre a Maig. Anirà passant per tots els grups.
