Theatre in english at school: FRANKENSTEIN

On 9th October pupils, from 5 and 6 year, saw the play “FRANKENSTEIN” at school.

They had lots of fun together and they enjoyed the performance.

The actors encouraged them to participate in the dialogues, songs and dances and that created an atmosphere of attention and enthusiasm.

As a conclusion we can say that all the boys and girls loved doctor Frankenstein and his monster.

WORLD BOOK DAY 2011

In March, we celebrated “World Book Day”.
We’d like you to know that it was a success. We listened to, read and told stories like Polar Bear, Polar Bear What do you hear?, Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see? and other nice stories.

We invited one of the mummies of the school, named Emily to come and tell a story to the six year olds. We had a great time. We’d like to thank her and we hope to have her here again next year.

Enjoy the photos.

THE UGLY DUCKLING

.

Last Tuesday we had a tale teller at school. It was great!

There were two shows: one for the P-5 children and one for the 1st grade children. It was not a simple telling of the story, but a dramatization with the children participating by playing some games, saying the names of the animals, the colours, and counting eggs. They were also singing all together. It was fantastic to see the faces of the children during the show and after it. They were saying they liked it a lot. The story was Ugly Duckling and we are looking forward to having the end of this activity with a theatre workshop on the 6th May
